Starline Express was quick to begin. Al's Entity was slow to begin.
Starline Express lost ground over the concluding stages of the event, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. Reg Gardoll advised Stewards that the greyhound may not have handled the wet conditions and prefers drier ground.
Post-race samples were taken from Trooper Tears (winner), Trapper Tears (2nd) and Meteor Monelli (3rd).
