Run Ruby Run lost ground from the home turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Harvard Scholar was quick to begin. Keswick Boy and Lolly Shop Girl were slow to begin. Running High was very slow to begin (5 lengths).

Running High, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms C. Jayakody regarding the overall performance of the greyhound. After hearing submissions from Ms Jayakody, viewing the available race footage, considering the injury and the greyhound's first start, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s performance. Ms Jayakody was advised that a repeat of this performance may result in the greyhound being placed on a trial.

Chase The Magic and Riverdale Socks were quick to begin. Rothwell Elzinga was slow to begin.

Vinny Can Gogh underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a spike wound to a right hind toe. A 3 day stand down was imposed.

Rothwell Elzinga marred Rothwell Random approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to Trainer Matthew Nash regarding Rothwell Elzinga’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Rothwell Elzinga was charged with marring. Mr Nash pled guilty to the charge, Rothwell Elzinga was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two satisfactory trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Nash advised that the greyhound would be retired.

Thirsty Colley, There's My Spot and Broken Reef were slow to begin.

Archibald – Late scratching at 2:25pm when Brett Mackie reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Prior to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track following heavy rainfall in the area and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing. 

Bearish was quick to begin. Western Blazer was slow to begin. 

Yellow Hawk – Late scratching at 5:19pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a right wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Matrix Bale upon arrival at the course.

Matrix Bale was quick to begin. Go Seek Harlow and Gunai Bold were slow to begin.

Gunai Bold was severely checked and contacted the running rail on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury and a spike owund to the left front. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr W. Green regarding the racing manners of the greyhound in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Green, viewing all available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no action.

Ephemeral and Bill Bob Lad were quick to begin. Soleus was slow to begin. 

Zigzag Cabang underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury to the right hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Berry regarding the racing manners of Zigzag Cabang entering the home straight and in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Berry, viewing all available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no action.

A pre-race sample was taken from Angus Keeping and Aston Khan.  

Prior to the running of this event Stewards inspected the track following heavy rainfall, a small section of the track required maintenance. The event was delayed by approximately 5 minutes as a result.
