Mr. Whitford pled guilty to the charge, Worker Bee was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Kaylah Thorburn regarding the racing manners of Sweaty Hand in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Thorburn, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Mikado Eclipse and Another Dale were slow to begin. Calypso Queen and Old Mate were quick to begin.

Old Mate (faltered on the first turn and lost ground)  underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Kale (visibly eased approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding Kale’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Kale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Gill pled not guilty to the charge, Kale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

There was no head-on vision available in the home straight for this event.

Mt. View Jewel – Late scratching at 13:43pm due to the greyhound being on season GAR 77. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Crystal Edition (faltered at the 300m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
