Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.8kg degrees and the kennel temperature was17.4kg degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all trainers’ vehicles engaged in today’s meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all transport had adhered to the GRV Hot Weather Policy and the GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy.
Woodleigh Bluey – Late scratching at 5.10pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Gregory Graham was fined $100.
Talent Scout was quick to begin. My Shout Boys was slow to begin.
Mega Banjo Boy was galloped on turning off the back straight, tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind and physical exhaustion. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Talent Scout - the winner of the event.
