Steward's Report
Xanadu, Awakening Dawn and Gus The Bus were quick to begin. Stormy Secrets, Ohana Ranadi and Michael Rose were slow to begin.
Stormy Secrets appeared to lose ground in the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right adductor injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Michael Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Sharon-Lee Chignell regarding the racing manners of Michael Rose on the first turn and in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Chignell, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post-race sample was taken from Xanadu - winner of the event.
