Billy I Want underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representitive Mr Thomas Dailly regarding Billy I Want's racing manners approaching the finishing line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Billy I Want was charged with marring. Mr Dailly pled guilty to the charge, Billy I Want was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
