Nana Judy was quick to begin.
Gold Fever fell approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a sore right triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Rothwell Elzinger underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Mr Nash did not wish to have the greyhound revetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Nash regarding Rothwell Elzinger’s racing manners approaching the home turn and approaching the finishng line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Rothwell Elzinger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Nash pled guilty to the charge, Rothwell Elzinger was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Trevor's Gift underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a sore monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Emily Azzopardi regarding Trevor's Gift’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Trevor's Gift was charged with marring. Ms Azzopardi pled not guilty to the charge, Trevor's Gift was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Zoom Blazer underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor abrasion. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representitive Mr Brayden Klemke regarding Zoom Blazer's racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Zoom Blazer was charged with marring. Mr Klemke pled guilty to the charge, Zoom Blazer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
