Steward's Report
Blackpool Jewel was quick to begin.
Viking Commander underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right metatarsal region, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr S. Payne regarding the racing manners of Viking Commander in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Payne, viewing the available race footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
A post–race sample was taken from Chappy's Girl – the winner of the event.
