Steward's Report
This event was hand-started.
Apache Shout was slow to begin.
Mepunga Bundy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left flexor tendon. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. D. Knight regarding Mepunga Bundy’s racing manners turning into the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mepuga Bundy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Ms. Knight pled guilty to the charge, Mepunga Bundy must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Majestic Stella - Stewards spoke to handler Mr. Sam Iuele regarding the delay in boxing the greyhound prior to the event. After considering the explanation of Mr Iuele and the evidence of the Steward at the start, Mr Iuele was reminded of his obligations to follow the starters orders when boxing greyhounds.
A post-race sample was taken from Sweet Vibes - winner of the event.
