Dewana Hold On was quick was quick to begin. Rock Monster, Why Not Oscar and Riverdale Cassie were slow to begin. Rock Monster and White Heart collided approaching the first turn checking Rock Monster which contacted the running rail. Dewana Hold On and Enquirer collided approaching the first turn. Dewana Hold On, Enquirer, Why Not Oscar, Yearwood and Xena collided on the first turn checking Why Not Oscar, Riverdale Cassie and Xena; Xena lost ground as a result. Rock Monster raced wide on the first turn. White Heart checked off the heels of Enquirer approaching the second turn. Why Not Oscar and Yearwood collided approaching the second turn. White Heart contacted the running rail on the third turn.
