Steward's Report

Little Pumpa was quick to begin.  Wimbledon and Hi Ho Dino were slow to begin.  Navara and Poison Oak collided soon after the start.  Poison Oak and Ballintine collided soon after the start checking Poison Oak and Wimbledon.  Lord Flood and Bit Mad collided approaching the first turn checking Lord Flood.  Hi Ho Dino and Bit Mad collided approaching the home turn severely checking Hi Ho Dino.  Bit Mad eased approaching the home turn.  Navara and Hi Ho Dino collided on the home turn.  Ballintine and Bit Mad collided on the home turn.  Poison Oak galloped on the heels of Navara approaching the winning post.  Bit Mad married Hi Ho Dino approaching the winning post.

Bit Mad was vetted following the event and revetted following event 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Bit Mad with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial All Tracks pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
 
Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr D Tallentyre regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Bit Mad.  Stewards directed that Bit Mad be boxed first in future events.
