Steward's Report
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 86 due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on–route to the track. The kennels closed at 6:41pm.
Tribeca was quick to begin. Monkey Riot, Westar Leo, Tommy Sparkle and Seek To Claim were slow to begin.
Aston Yamato raced ungenerously shortly after the start, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Craig Treherne regarding the greyhound’s racing manners shortly after the start. After hearing evidence from Mr Treherne, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards issued a warning to connections.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Tribeca – the winner of the event.
