Love A Collision was slow to begin.
Staines brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Shot Gun Pistol faltered on the first turn causing Love A Collision to collide with Shot Gun Pistol, severely checking both greyhounds.
Stewards inspected the track after this event and deemed it safe for racing.
Shot Gun Pistol underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Jasper Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a front right foot spike wound. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head on vision of the front straight for this event.
