Polly Bale was slow to begin.
Call Me Hank crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Polly Bale. Black Carbide checked off Claretown Maisy approaching the first turn. Hunter Rocks and Horsham Myth collided approaching the first turn. Arolok Jimmy, Black Carbide and Polly Bale collided approaching the first turn. Claretown Maisy brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Punk Pirate and Horsham Myth collided on the first turn severely checking Punk Pirate, Horsham Myth, Arolok Jimmy, Polly Bale and Black Carbide, Punk Pirate and Horsham Myth fell as a result. Polly Bale checked off Black Carbide approaching the winning post.
Punk Pirate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hamstrings and left triceps and spike wounds to the front and back toes. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Horsham Myth was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hind leg, both hamstrings and the left quadriceps and spike wounds to the right front paw. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Claretown Maisy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hamstring. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
