Steward's Report
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Irongate with kennel representative Ms R.Simpson and noted their comments.
Lunaray, Road To Cairns and Irongate collided soon after the start checking Road To Cairns. Fashion Icon checked off Aston Remi soon after the start. Itchy Kaala and Aston Remi collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Remi. Lunaray and Road To Cairns collided approaching the home turn. Aston Remi and Irongate collided approaching the home turn.
Irongate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a injury to the left back muscle and right wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Rebecca Simpson (via telephone), the representative of Irongate after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event. Stewards issued Ms Rebecca Simpson with a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2) and directed to return to the track on the day and get the greyhound vetted.
