A pre-race sample was taken from Grey Not Blue.
Ziems Park Girl was quick to begin. Swarm, Way To Stand, Aston Ryker and Aston Select collided soon after the start checking Way To Stand and Aston Select, severely checking Swarm which fell as a result. Ziems Park Girl and Ivanka Tea collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Ryker and Ivanka Tea. Way To Stand and Ziems Park Girl collided approaching the first turn. Emma's Image and Grey Not Blue collided on the first turn checking Emma's Image, Ziems Park Girl, Aston Select and Ivanka Tea, severely checking Aston Ryker which fell as a result. Ziems Park Girl checked off Aston Select approaching the home turn.
