All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Break Ranks – Late scratching at 10.44am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to kennel cough. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Placid Paws, Bank Heist, Halloumi and Elite Patty collided soon after the start checking Placid Paws, Halloumi and Elite Patty. Placid Paws crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and collided with Halloumi. Our Magic Miss and Spy Craft collided approaching the first turn. Our Magic Miss, Spy Craft and Aston Director collided on the first turn severely checking Our Magic Miss which fell as a result. Bank Heist turned its head outwards and collided with Aston Director in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Bank Heist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Jason Wickham regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bank Heist was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Wickham pleaded guilty to the charge, Bank Heist was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Our Magic Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mission Oasis – Late scratching at 10.42am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to kennel cough. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Heat Wave was quick to begin.

Aston Cassidy and Rollin' In It collided soon after the start. Keep It Classy faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Aston Cassidy and Silver Valley collided on the first turn checking Aston Cassidy. Heat Wave and Rollin' In It collided on the first turn checking Rollin' In It. Rollin' In It and Silver Valley collided approaching the home turn. Sweet As Candy and Silver Valley collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sweet As Candy galloped on the heels of Silver Valley on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Mighty Thanos was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

What A Ride, Splash Of Light and Magic To Burn collided soon after the start checking Splash Of Light and Magic To Burn. Splash Of Light and Magic To Burn collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Dioptase underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected fractured humerous. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Barooga Boy – New declared weight of 36.5kg, last raced at 35.1kg.

Diversify and Magic Ride were quick to begin.

Barooga Boy and Hi Ena collided soon after the start checking Hi Ena. Long Shadow and Brightly Staring collided approaching the first turn checking Long Shadow. Hi Ena and Long Shadow collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Barooga Boy and Magic Ride collided on the first turn checking Magic Ride. Magic Ride and Panadero Warrior collided on the home turn checking Magic Ride.

Deltora Quest was slow to begin.

Affair Beauty, My Believer and My Name's Lindy collided soon after the start checking Affair Beauty and My Name's Lindy. Affair Fantasy and My Name's Judy collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Rita turned its head outwards and visibly eased on the first turn checking Kraken Rita, Inside Out and My Believer. My Name's Judy and My Believer collided approaching the home turn. Affair Fantasy and My Believer collided in the home straight. Kraken Rita turned its head inwards and marred My Believer in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Affair Fantasy, Kraken Rita and My Believer.

Kraken Rita underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Eyles, the trainer of Kraken Rita regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Kraken Rita was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Rita was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rose Danae and Sartana were slow to begin.

Aston Oscar and Twilight Sofia collided soon after the start. Rose Danae and Aston Oscar collided approaching the first turn checking Rose Danae. Aston Oscar and Flying Frank collided approaching the home turn. Aston Oscar and Twilight Sofia collided in the home straight.

 Mrs Julie Chilcott was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Chillout Cookie pursuant to GAR 33.

It was noted that the muzzle of Hillbilly Lass became dislodged during the running of the event.

Extravagance and Beastly Boy collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Hillbilly Lass, Chillout Cookie and Rare Sapphire collided soon after the start checking Chillout Cookie and Rare Sapphire. Chillout Cookie, Rare Sapphire and Extravagance collided approaching the first turn checking Rare Sapphire. Chillout Cookie galloped on the heels of Extravagance on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Hillbilly Lass and Twilight Harry collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Hillbilly Lass and Twilight Harry collided in the home straight. Chillout Cookie raced wide in the home straight.

Axedale Pirate and Perfect Flossy collided soon after the start checking Perfect Flossy. Nangar Troy and Two Up Tommy collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Wharfie, Perfect Flossy and Emma's Image collided on the first turn checking Two Up Tommy and Wharfie.

It's Coming Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have a fractured toe on the left hind paw. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
