All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Break Ranks – Late scratching at 10.44am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to kennel cough. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Placid Paws, Bank Heist, Halloumi and Elite Patty collided soon after the start checking Placid Paws, Halloumi and Elite Patty. Placid Paws crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and collided with Halloumi. Our Magic Miss and Spy Craft collided approaching the first turn. Our Magic Miss, Spy Craft and Aston Director collided on the first turn severely checking Our Magic Miss which fell as a result. Bank Heist turned its head outwards and collided with Aston Director in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Bank Heist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Jason Wickham regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bank Heist was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Wickham pleaded guilty to the charge, Bank Heist was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Our Magic Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
