Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 17/10/21.

Devilish John was very slow to begin (3L).

Dragon Slayer, Knight's Cross, Memphis Rose and Regal Trance collided soon after the start checking Dragon Slayer and severley checking Knight's Cross, Memphis Rose and Regal Trance. Hillbilly Pearl checked off Madison Rose on the first turn. Memphis Rose and Regal Trance collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds and causing Memphis Rose to fall and Regal Trance to tail off.

Memphis Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Regal Trance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the back and shin soreness in the right fore leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Our Boy Ziggy and Crusoe Kid was slow to begin.

Divine Calling checked off Seabrook Dow approaching the first turn. Our Boy Ziggy and Crusoe Kid collided approaching the first turn. Our Boy Ziggy checked off Kanji Olympic on the first turn. Divine Calling and Flying Mercedes collided on the first turn checking Divine Calling. Kanji Olympic and Seabrook Dow collided approaching the home turn checking Seabrook Dow which collided with Crusoe Kid. Flying Mercedes and Hillbilly Joker collided on the home turn checking Hillbilly Joker.

Holly Fever and Switched were slow to begin.

Cole's Hillbilly checked off Our Danny soon after the start. Stormy Lights and Holly Fever collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Cole's Hillbilly faltered approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.

Cole's Hillbilly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

La Blonde and Trending Striker collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking La Blonde. Barooga Banjo and Ready To Launch collided on the first turn checking Ready To Launch. An out of competition sample was taken from Eagle Boy on 12/10/21 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Pontiac Bandit, Sonny Daze and Spitfire Striker collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Eagle Boy, Deedee's Charm and Sonny Daze collided on the first turn checking Eagle Boy and Deedee's Charm and severely checking Sonny Daze. Sonny Daze checked off Eagle Boy approaching the home turn. Eagle Boy and Pontiac Bandit collided approaching the home turn. Eagle Boy raced wide in the home straight. Deedee's Charm and Smokin' Ziggy collided in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sensational.

Regal Missile and Sensational collided soon after the start checking Sensational. Why Delila, Urana Fernando, Dasha Tullamore and Slingshot Trojan collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Caps Lock On checked off Kaiden on the first turn and collided with Regal Missile and Why Delila. Slingshot Trojan galloped on the heels of Sensational approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Why Delila and Dasha Tullamore collided on the home turn checking Why Delila. Kaiden and Regal Missile collided in the home straight checking Kaiden.

Sensational underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left tarsal. No stand down period was imposed.

Migration, Maddingley Magic, My Golden Eagle and McIvor Jill collided on the first turn checking Migration and My Golden Eagle and severely checking Maddingley Magic.

Milo Rose, Double Top and Dennis Delight were slow to begin. Milo Rose checked off Champ Duran on the first turn and collided with Double Top. Dennis Delight and Red Fog collided approaching the home turn checking Dennis Delight. Double Top and Magic Rooster collided approaching the home turn.

All Inn Olivia, Brother Guy and Major China were slow to begin.

Cheery Ola Baby and Cruickshank collided soon after the start checking Cruickshamk. All Inn Olivia and Rattling Rosie collided approaching the first turn checking Rattling Rosie. Brother Guy and Cruickshank collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Can I Rock and Major China collided approaching the home turn severely checking Major China. All Inn Olivia and Aston Scepter collided in the home straight. Rattling Rosie lost ground over approaching the winning post.

Rattling Rosie underwent a post-race vetterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Bernie Ender regarding the racing manners of Rattling Rosie in the home straight  After hearing evidence from Mr. Ender, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight..

Stewards spoke to Mr. Bernie Ender, the trainer of Rattling Rosie regarding racing manners in the home straight.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Ender to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Rattling Rosie in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Emma's Double – New declared weight of 27.8 kg, last raced at 29.4 kg.

Over Slips, Emma's Double and Seabrook Baker collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Over Slips checked off Hannah's Tiger on the first turn and collided with Emma's Double and severely checking Emma's Double.

Kanji Length, Gladki and McIvor Jack were quick to begin.

Kanji Length, Bakali George, Keep A Bit, McIvor Jack and Huntly Flyer collided on the first turn checking Keep A Bit and Huntly Flyer. Bakali George and McIvor Jack collided on the home turn checking McIvor Jack. Agent Herrera and McIvor Jack collided on the home turn sev erely checking both greyhounds. Kanji Length raced wide on the home turn. Agent Herrera and Keep A Bit collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Agent Herrera underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
