Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 17/10/21.
Devilish John was very slow to begin (3L).
Dragon Slayer, Knight's Cross, Memphis Rose and Regal Trance collided soon after the start checking Dragon Slayer and severley checking Knight's Cross, Memphis Rose and Regal Trance. Hillbilly Pearl checked off Madison Rose on the first turn. Memphis Rose and Regal Trance collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds and causing Memphis Rose to fall and Regal Trance to tail off.
Memphis Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Regal Trance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the back and shin soreness in the right fore leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
