Mr David Gehan, the trainer of Electric Zulu, who declined a veterinary examination and an inquiry, pleaded guilty to a charge of marring under the provisions of GAR 69(1).  Electric Zulu was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Parlo Bale – Late scratching at 3:06 pm when Ms Andrea Gurry reported the greyhound to have bruising (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Arandt underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound above the left elbow and a right hindleg whip injury; a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr David Gehan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Why Arandt was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Gehan pleaded guilty to the charge, Why Arandt was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
