Pinjarra Bale checked off Claretown Tina entering the home straight checking Slingshot Zoe. Sorinder Bale marred Claretown Tina entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Tinker Yap and Blackpool Cheeky collided in the home straight. Hamish Bale and Tinker Yap raced wide in the home straight.
Hamish Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Sorinder Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Correy Grenfell, the Trainer of Sorinder Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Sorinder Bale was charged with marring. Mr. Grenfell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sorinder Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
