Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Irene's A Star on 21/10/2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Whiskey Road.
Blazing Nenna was quick to begin.
Sinful Angel, Oliver Bale and Col Cowboy collided soon after the start. Irene's A Star checked off Trickity Click soon after the start. Whiskey Road, Trickity Click and Col Cowboy collided on the first turn, checking Whiskey Road and Oliver Bale. Whiskey Road, Irene's A Star and Little Yaala collided on the home turn, checking Irene's A Star and Little Yaala. Trickity Click raced wide on the home turn. Sinful Angel turned it's head outwards marring Trickity Click on the home turn.
Sinful Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and cramping. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr.David Burnett, the trainer of Sinful Angel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Sinful Angel was charged with marring. Mr. D Burnett pleaded guilty to the charge, Sinful Angel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
