Steward's Report
Bravery, Empress Tears and Five Star were quick to begin. Rock On Jimmy, Suntory Rose and Kenny The Brute were slow to begin.
Kenny The Brute and Suntory Rose collided approaching the first turn. Tomato Tears and Rock On Jimmy collided approaching the first turn checking Rock On Jimmy. Rock On Jimmy and Kenny The Brute collided on the second turn. Rock On Jimmy and Kenny The Brute collided in the front straight checking Rock On Jimmy. Tomato Tears checked off Suntory Rose approaching the fourth turn. Suntory Rose marred Bravery on the home turn. Empress Tears and Bravery collided in the home straight.
Suntory Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Harrison Goss, the Kennel Representative, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Suntory Rose was charged with marring. Mr. Goss pleaded not guilty to the charge, Suntory Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
