A pre-race sample was taken from Gosh.
McCooly's Lad was quick to begin.
Nenna Tears and Gosh collided soon after the start, approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Trending Rookie and Gosh collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Rahim Bale faltered on the second turn and lost ground. Jezza Bance and Ripplebrook Rory collided in the back straight. Gosh checked off Trending Rookie in the back straight.
Rahim Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
