Steward's Report
Zipping Petra was slow to begin.
Bubba Jo, Gunai Outlaw, Missy's Hand and Crown Ella collided soon after the start checking Gunai Outlaw and Missy's Hand.
Gunai Outlaw and Missy's Hand collided on the first turn checking Gunai Outlaw.
Crown Ella raced wide on the home turn.
Gunai Outlaw underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. Stewards spoke to Mr. John Barbara, Kennel Representative, regarding the performance of Gunai Outlaw. Mr. Barbara advised Stewards that the greyhound had only recently arrived in their kennel, had been trialling well and that he had expected a better performance today. After viewing all the available race footage, hearing evidence from Mr. Barbara regarding interference suffered by the greyhound during the run, and the fact that the greyhound had not raced for an extended period of time, Stewards decided to take no further action but advised that they would monitor the greyhound at future starts.
