False Alarm was slow to begin. Jungle Baron, Cruickshank and Turtle Fernando collided approaching the first turn checking Cruickshank and Turtle Fernando. Cool Militant and Dublin My Money collided approaching the home turn. Jungle Baron turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the home turn. Dublin My Money galloped on the heels Jungle Baron approaching the home turn checking Cool Militant and Dublin My Money, severely checking Jungle Baron. Dublin My Money checked off Rupert's Boy in the home straight.

Jungle Baron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right bicep injury and a right calf injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr David Ramage regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Jungle Baron was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Ramage pleaded guilty to the charge, Jungle Baron was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
