Steward's Report
Pre-race samples were taken from Laxman and Danny Creek.
Gypsy Warrior and Newtown Jet collided approaching the first turn, checking Gypsy Warrior. Gypsy Warrior, Funny Enough and Blazin' Diamonds collided on the first turn; severely checking Gypsy Warrior, causing Blazin' Diamonds to fall. Laxman stumbled and raced wide on the home turn.
Gypsy Warrior underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg hip injury. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Blazin' Diamonds underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
