Black Cardigan and Bance Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Bance Bale. Under Control and Uncle Mumbles collided approaching the first turn checking Uncle Mumbles. Under Control checked off Mepunga Weber on the first turn checking Bance Bale, Uncle Mumbles and Galba Flame. Mepunga Weber, Black Cardigan and Harold Bale collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Weber and severely checking Black Cardigan, Galba Flame, Shrike, Under Control, Uncle Mumbles and Bance Bale, causing Shrike to fall as a result. Under Control raced wide in the home straight.
