Steward's Report
Godric Gryfindor, Go Jacko Go and Trendy Colour collided soon after the start. Trendy Colour checked off Hornsey's Mate approaching the first turn causing Senni Tony to contact the running rail. King Knocka crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Godric Gryfindor, Knocka Express and Hornsey's Mate and severely checking Senni Tony which fell as a result. Hornsey's Mate galloped on the heels of Knocka Express approaching the home turn. Hornsey's Mate veered the running of Godric Gryfindor in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
King Knocka was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Senni Tony was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind toes. No stand down period was imposed.
Hornsey's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(a) stewards charged Hornsey's Mate with marring and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
