Steward's Report
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
A pre-race sample was taken from Alira Gem.
Siala Giblet and Mepunga Legend were slow to begin.
Mickey Blue Eyes and Endless Ability collided on the first turn. Mickey Blue Eyes raced wide on the home turn, checking Endless Ability, Bobby Bull Shark and Mepunga Legend. Mickey Blue Eyes and Bobby Bull Shark collided in the home straight.
Mickey Blue Eyes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Presutto regarding the racing manners of Mickey Blue Eyes on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. P. Presutto, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. In arriving at this decision, stewards took into account the injury sustained to Mickey Blue Eyes and also the interference with Endless Ability on the home turn which, in the opinion of the stewards, may have contributed to Mickey Blue Eyes being turned outwards.
