Steward's Report
Prabaker was quick toi begin.
Twisted Bliss and Gleaming collided approaching the first turn. Fire Witch and Night Jar collided on the first turn, checking Night Jar. Fire Witch and Night Jar collided in the home straight. Fire Witch turned its head outwards approaching the winning post and collided with Night Jar.
Fire Witch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg quadriceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer, Mr W. Donlon regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fire Witch was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr W. Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge, Fire Witch was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
