A pre-race sample was taken from Lawson Drive.
Big Leigh was slow to begin.
Uno Shelby and Mystic Diamond collided soon after the start, checking Mystic Shelby. Stan's Hope checked off Royal Deed on the first turn. Royal Deed raced wide in the back straight, checking Lawson Drive.
Big Leigh which trailled the field throughout the event, was vetted following the event. It was reported the greyhound sustained a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
