All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Midnight Oil was quick to begin.

Sunny Love, Galloping Orbit and Striker Jack were slow to begin.

Galloping Orbit and Play Nice collided soon after the start and again in the front straight. Galloping Orbit checked off Play Nice on the first turn checking Striker Jack. Worry Less, Sunny Love and Osprey Storm collided on the first turn.

Rothwell Horse was slow to begin.

Rothwell Horse crossed to the outside on the first turn. Left Right Now and His Got Tow collided on the first turn. Madam Chelsea and Fighting Boxer collided on the first turn, in the front straight and again on the third turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Dunwerkin - the winner of the event. 

Due to the abandonment of Sale thoroughbreds, this Event was rescheduled to start at 2.18pm from the original advertised starting time.

An out of competition sample was taken from Pechey's Girl on 9 March 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Big City Nights was slow to begin.

Big City Nights and Cambria Bale collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Obsession Agogo and Lead The Way collided in the front straight checking Obsession Agogo.

Buster Harley was slow to begin.

Galloping Star stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

Mt View Buck and On The Off collided soon after the start. Mt View Buck checked off On The Off on the first turn. Affair Beauty checked off Taste The Gold on the second turn and collided with Buster Harley. Mahjong Bailey and Jebediah collided entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Taste The Gold - the winner of the event. 

Off It's Chops and Moonlight Jack collided soon after the start. Moonlight Jack crossed in approaching the first turn causing Drop A Line, Chill Out Webby, Goodbye Ben and Kalbarri to collide. Moonlight Jack and Moonlight Kiss collided on the first turn severely checking Moonlight Kiss in turn checking Goodbye Ben, Chill Out Webby and Drop A Line. Goodbye Ben and Chill Out Webby collided on the second turn and again in the back straight. Kalbarri and Cindy Fuso collided in the back straight. Kalbarri, Cindy Fuso, Moonlight Jack and Off It's Chops collided several times from the third turn to the home turn checking Moonlight Kiss, Cindy Fuso, Moonlight Jack and Drop A Line. Kalbarri and Off It's Chops collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was found to be contaminated from Moonlight Kiss; a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

A post-race sample was taken from Goodbye Ben - the winner of the event. 

Due to the abandonment of Sale thoroughbreds, this Event was rescheduled to start at 3.30pm from the original advertised starting time.

Target Master - Late scratching at 1.15pm with Stewards permission due to a road deviations on the Monash Freeway. No stand down period was imposed.  

Harley Ryder and Daintree Lad were slow to begin.

Family Trust and Harley Ryder collided on the first turn. Mr. Deeds and Daintree Lad collided on the first turn. Audenzia visibly eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post checking Mr. Deeds.

Audenzia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr J Gorioski, the trainer of Audenzia regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Audenzia was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Gorioski pleaded guilty to the charge, Audenzia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hill Top Jack was quick to begin.

Lump Sum was slow to begin.

Pechey's Babe checked off Aston Samba approaching the first turn. Aston Samba and Hill Top Jack collided on the first turn. Lump Sum and Wizardry Magic collided entering the home straight.

Our Watto was slow to begin.

Queen Amarok, My Name's Stacey and Reimagine collided soon after the start checking Queen Amarok and My Name's Stacey. My Name's Stacey and Our Watto collided on the first turn.

Due to the abandonment of Sale thoroughbreds, this Event was rescheduled to start at 4.34pm from the original advertised starting time.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr C Russell, regarding the increase in distance for My Name's Phil in this Event.  Mr. Russell advised Stewards that the greyhound trialled at Sandown last Sunday, 26 March and ran a time of 23.63 post to post.  Mr. Russell further advised that he nominated the greyhound for a 515m event at the Owner's request but felt the greyhound would perform reasonably well.  Stewards advised Mr. Russell they would monitor the performance of My Name's Phil today.

Ivy Isobel was slow to begin.

My Name's Phil checked off Two Phones on the second turn and collided with Capra and Ivy Isobel checking Capra and Ivy Isobel. Two Phones and Mepunga Stellar collided on the third turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lillico Nikki. 

Runaway Miss, Lillico Nikki and Storm Stroller collided soon after the start. Runaway Miss and Lillico Nikki collided approaching the first turn. Runaway Miss and Storm Stoller collided on the home turn.

Halwes – Late scratching at 1.09pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Whistling Bullet was slow to begin. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Super Sparkle.

Delancy Bale and Red Hot Lady collided soon after the start. Indian Shadow and Super Sparkle collided approaching the first turn. Super Sparkle checked off Red Hot Lady on the first turn and collided with Jayla Strike. Indian Shadow checked off I'm Not Budging approaching the second turn. Indian Shadow raced wide in the back straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Les Weeks, the trainer of Delancy Bale as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards. Mr Weeks stated that he had not supported the greyhound, however Delancy Bale can be competitive when he is able to lead in the run. The comments of Mr Weeks were noted and a sample was taken for analysis.
