Parasite and Once A King were quick to begin. King Brown was slow to begin.
Parasite and Roxy Rum Pumper collided approaching the first turn. Roxy Rum Pumper and Bissaka Spider collided approaching the first turn severely checking Bissaka Spider and Parasite. Parasite checked off Bissaka Spider on the first turn. King Brown and Roxy Rum Pumper collided approaching the winning post. Parasite raced wide in the home straight.
Parasite underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
