Forrest Elbow was quick to begin.
Kandinsky, Destini Saxon, Aston Bomber, Zeeba's Legacy and All Over Max collided soon after the start checking Destini Saxon and severely checking Aston Bomber and Zeeba's Legacy. All Over Max crossed to the rail approaching the first turn severely checking Kandinsky. Forrest Elbow and Whiskey Road collided on the first turn checking Whiskey Road. Aston Bomber checked off All Over Max and collided with Destini Saxon, checking Aston Bomber and Destini Saxon. Kandinsky raced wide entering the home straight.
