All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Viking Commander checked off Zulu Flair on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tinker Pat and Tinker Sally collided on the first turn. Zulu Flair checked off Viking Commander in the home straight.

Frothy's Jett underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Mr G. Turnbull was fined $200.00 pursuant to GAR 86(o) with negligence after the greyhound, Ninetymile Nash was paraded in an incorrect race rug (No 3) which was subsequently replaced with its correct rug (No 8) before leaving the parade area.  The BGRC Parade Official and the GRIU official were reminded of their responsibilities to ensure that greyhounds are correctly rugged at all times.  This matter was referred to the respective management for further consideration and remediation. 

Xylus Bale was quick to begin.

Our Danny checked off Go Gigi Go on the first turn checking Smoking Sophie. Fascinate Aussie checked off Twisted Bliss in the home straight. Our Danny and Fascinate Aussie collided approaching the winning post.

Joyous Venture and Nagambie Bale collided approaching the first turn severley checking Nagambie Bale. Rower's Rule raced wide on the home turn and throughout the remainder of the event. Pyrenees Alpha raced wide in the home straight.

Rower's Rule underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Nagambie Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10. Nagambie Bale was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Mantra was slow to begin.

Mepunga Mantra checked off Canya Dig It approaching the first turn. Scuffy shifted out approaching the first turn. Sudoku Cobra checked off Bang on the first turn. Mepunga Mantra checked off Sudoku Cobra approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Bang - the winner of the event.

An out of competition sample was taken from Masked Avenger on 21st December 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Trendy Universe, Aston Lamont, Dark Compass and Alfie Alligator collided soon after the start. Aston Lamont brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Aston Lamont checked off Trendy Universe on the first turn. Dark Compass and Warringah Bale raced wide entering the home straight. Overshadowed turned its head outwards in the home straight and visibly eased.

Overshadowed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shin sorness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler, Mr L. Thompson regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Overshadowed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr L. Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Overshadowed was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A race day sample was taken from Kinson Bale at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.

Kinson Bale, Decimate and Mepunga Mustang collided approaching the first turn checking Kinson Bale and Mepunga Mustang. Kinson Bale and Zara's Ivan collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Kandinsky, Destini Saxon, Aston Bomber, Zeeba's Legacy and All Over Max collided soon after the start checking Destini Saxon and severely checking Aston Bomber and Zeeba's Legacy. All Over Max crossed to the rail approaching the first turn severely checking Kandinsky. Forrest Elbow and Whiskey Road collided on the first turn checking Whiskey Road. Aston Bomber checked off All Over Max and collided with Destini Saxon, checking Aston Bomber and Destini Saxon. Kandinsky raced wide entering the home straight.

Mr L. Medcraft was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Bakali George pursuant to GAR 33.

Bad Bailey was quick to begin.

Balts Orson crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Bad Bailey and severely checking Drakensberg Dot, Frothy's De Goey, Bakali George and Balt's Flying. Balt's Flying checked off Bakali George entering the home straight. Frothy's De Goey raced wide entering the home straight. Balt's Flying raced wide in the home straight.
