A pre-race sample was taken from Bissaka Spider.
Pyrenees Spirit, Venomous Yaala and Jonas were quick to begin.
Rockstar Haynes, Crown Sebon and Al's Vixen collided soon after the start. Al's Vixen checked off Crown Sebon approaching the first turn causing Al's Vixen and Rockstar Haynes to collide. Crown Sebon and Bissaka Spider collided on the first turn checking Crown Sebon, causing Crown Sebon and Al's Vixen to collide. Rockstar Haynes and Al's Vixen collided on the first turn. Crown Sebon faltered on the home turn and tailed off.
Crown Sebon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the right hock . A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Rockstar Haynes underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.
