Steward's Report
Subtle Art, Werina Express and Aston Ulysses were quick to begin.
Soda Titan and Manila Dusk collided on the first turn checking Manila Dusk and Weblec Blazer causing Weblec Blazer to stumble, race wide and lose ground. Werina Express tired in the home straight.
Werina Express underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr Jack Strutt, the representative of Werina Express regarding the greyhounds peformance in home straight. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Strutt to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Werina Express in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Ulysses - the winner of the event.
Supplementary Report 02.02.2022:
Representative Mr J Strutt reported to stewards that upon examination the greyhound Werina Express presented no injury.
