Steward's Report
Kazoo Giblet was quick to begin. Elusive Fly was slow to begin.
Blackpool Homer went up with the lids at box rise. Five Putt Cal, Mepunga Haze and Evident collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Haze. Elusive Fly, Angelina Johnson and Mepunga Haze collided on the first turn checking Angelina Johnson. Evident and Five Putt Cal collided approaching the winning post.
Five Putt Cal underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a fall after the finish, Five Putt Cal was found to have a minor right hind foot abrasion. No stand down period was imposed.
Elusive Fly underwent a post-race veterinary examination at trainer's request and was found to have a laceration above the right stopper. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Evident underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr K. Lloyd regarding the racing manners of Evident approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Lloyd, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
A post-race sample was taken from Five Putt Cal - the winner of the event.
