Steward's Report
Track curator Mr J. Loudon advised that the inside track was medium harrowed on Thursday 1st July 2021.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Malicious Yaala, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Crumb Snags was slow to begin.
Mahogany Queen and Frothy's Friday collided approaching the first turn. Mahogany Queen and Frothy's Friday collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Cawbourne Mimma and Frothy's Friday collided on the third turn. Crumb Snags marred the Malicious Yaala on the home turn.
Crumb Snags underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Campbell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Crumb Snags was charged with marring. Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Crumb Snags was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
