All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Thursday 1/07/2021.

Dr. Bronte was slow to begin.

Pacific Express and Lucy's Villa collided soon after the start checking Lucy's Villa.  Dr. Macie and Dr. Neeki collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Macie and Dr. Bronte collided on the first turn checking Dr. Macie, Dr. Bronte, Quincee Bale, Pacific Express and Lucy's Villa.

Little Yaala was quick to begin.

Roxy Quaker and Bowie collided soon after the start.  Little Yaala and Retro Rocket collided on the first turn checking Little Yaala.  Cayden Bale checked off Roxy Quaker approaching the second turn.  Zylon Bale crossed in on the second turn checking Retro Rocket.  Little Yaala and Roxy Quaker collided in the back straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sudoku Cobra.

Lala Hibiscus was slow to begin.

Dr. Lysandra, Miss Zeus and Zarate collided on the first turn checking Dr. Lysandra, Miss Zeus, Zarate, Lala Hibiscus and Vardan Bale, causing Zarate and Lala Hibiscus to lose ground.

Aston Tribute and Merlot were quick to begin.

Artic Assassin and Gentleman Thief collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Artic Assassin.  Merlot crossed in on the first turn checking Aston Tribute, causing Aston Tribute to check Gentleman Thief and Artic Assassin, which caused Artic Assassin to race wide.  Aston Tribute and Daph's Wally collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Aston Tribute and Daph's Wally collided on the third turn checking Aston Tribute.  

A post-race sample was taken from Merlot - the winner of the event.

Mr. Speaker - Late scratching at 10:00am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr J. Formosa was fined $100.

Nikephoros underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Dynamite Miss was quick to begin.

Massimo and Lala Juniper collided approaching the first turn checking Lala Juniper.  Massimo and Scorching Sun collided on the first turn checking Massimo.  Get Real and Harrigan collided on the first turn checking Harrigan which caused Harrigan to race wide.  Lala Juniper checked off Get Real entering the back straight.

Massimo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Koblenz was quick to begin.

Tynslee Bale, Blue Tiger and Kinson Bale collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Blue Tiger and Kinson Bale.  Joking Bear checked off Kinson Bale approaching the home turn.  Knicks Bale checked off Blue Tiger approaching the home turn.

Zachary was slow to begin.

Zachary and Arlington collided soon after the start.  Jetta's Shout and Maelynn Bale collided soon after the start.  Maelynn Bale and Zachary collided approaching the first turn checking Maelynn Bale.  Waldemar Bale raced wide on the first turn checking Carla Veloso.  Carla Veloso and Cawbourne Coco collided on the second turn checking Cawbourne Coco.  Jetta's Shout and Maelynn Bale collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Carrie, Persian Goddess and High Action collided approaching the first turn checking Carrie and Paddy Wants Pats.  Paddy Wants Pats and Carrie collided approaching the first turn checking Carrie.  Paddy Wants Pats and High Action collided on the first turn checking High Action.  Paddy Wants Pats and High Action collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Invictus Rising and Roxy Smirnoff collided in the back straight checking Roxy Smirnoff.  Roxy Smirnoff and Carrie collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

A pre-race sample was taken from Arizona Eyes.

Circumstance, Arizona Eyes and Camila were slow to begin.

Malicious Yaala and Camila collided on the first turn checking Camila.  Malicious Yaala and Camila collided on the third turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Malicious Yaala and Camila collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Following the event Got The Torque underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to collapsing in the catching pen.  The greyhound was found to have had a seizure.  No stand down penalty was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 74(1)(a) Got The Torque must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72 and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Arizona Gold was slow to begin.

Gemma Blue and Two Phones collided soon after the start.  Suntory Lass, Gemma Blue and Two Phones collided approaching the first turn checking Gemma Blue and Two Phones.  West Of Westeros and Lonely Lisa collided approaching the second turn checking Lonely Lisa.  West Of Westeros crossed out approaching the home turn checking Suntory Lass which caused Suntory Lass to stumble.  

Suntory Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Dasha Tullamore - Late scratching at 10:29am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr W. Green was fined $100.  Dasha Tullamore underwent a kennelling veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Rock On Runner was quick to begin.

Rock On Runner crossed in soon after the start checking Clean Slate, Paint Peeler, My Dewana Penny, Rufiano, Harrell Bale and Jullisa Bale.  Harrell Bale, Rufiano and Paint Peeler collided on the first turn checking Harrell Bale.  Rufiano and Paint Peeler collided approaching the second turn checking Paint Peeler.  Rufiano and Clean Slate collided approaching the home turn checking Clean Slate.

Harrell Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and the right triangle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
