A pre-race sample was taken from Red Nangana.
Truss, Dundee Candy, Rock The Sky and Astro Naughton collided on the first turn checking Truss, Rock The Sky and Astro Naughton. Callum’s Capers, Dundee Candy and Red Nangana collided approaching the home turn severely checking Dundee Candy which lost considerable ground. Rock The Sky and Red Nangana collided on the home turn.
Dundee Candy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right sesamoid and right pencil muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Cool Stone underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Dalziel regarding the racing manners of Cool Stone in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms. Dalziel, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
There was no head on vision of the back straight for this event.
