Steward's Report
Worldwide was slow to begin.
Jayville Menace and Bugs collided approaching the first turn checking Bugs. Tat Warby and Clever Trevor collided on the home turn. Emma's Image turned it's head inwards and marred Bugs in the home straight.
Emma's Image underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right pencil muscle and shin soreness in the left and right forlegs and right hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Julie Chilcott, the handler of Emma's Image regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Emma's Image was charged with marring. Ms. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Emma's Image was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Jayville Menace - winner of the event.
