All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue

Mt. View Gem was a late scratching at 11:14 by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented.  At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged Mr. Trevor Whitford with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event.  Mr. Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.  The 28 days stand-down on Mt. View Gem was revoked.

Aston Cassidy checked off Diversify approaching the first turn. Big Boy Duke checked off Sweet As Candy on the first turn. Gem Victorem checked off Big Boy Duke on the home turn. Aston Cassidy and Diversify collided approaching the winning post.

Diversify underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and right triangle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. John Mangion regarding the racing manners of Diversify in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Mangion, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
