The start of this event was a manual hand start.
Sassenach and Holly Fever collided approaching the first turn. Zippy Wiesman, Aston Select and Ertugrul Bey collided approaching first turn checking Aston Select. Rapid Royale and Holly Fever collided on the first turn. Eagle Boy checked Rapid Royale approaching the home turn. Hill Top Jonnie and Ertugrul Bey collided entering the home straight. Eagle Boy raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Stewards delayed the all-clear as the Judge inadvertently displayed the incorrect placings 4, 1, 8 and 6 on the semophore board following this event, the correct placings 4, 1, 8 and 5 were then displayed and the all-clear was given.
