All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Aston Texan, Bahrose, Greysynd Hero and Silver Valley collided on the first turn checking Bahrose, Greysynd Hero, Silver Valley and severely checking Aston Texan.  Aston Texan, Greysynd Hero and Silver Valley collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Bahrose and Aston Gray collided approaching the home turn checking Bahrose, Greysynd Hero and Aston Gray.  Bahrose, Silver Valley and Aston Gray collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Aston Texan and Bahrose collided several times in the home straight.  

Greysynd Hero underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Josh Duncan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Duncan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Bahrose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Michael Bewley regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bewley, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of After Affair with Mr. Martin Hanke and noted their comments.

Coach Beard was quick to begin.  Apache Shout was slow to begin.  

Lap To Far, After Affair, Myrniong Blue and President collided entering the back straight checking all four greyhounds.  Apache Shout and President collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Lochan Aura and After Affair collided on the home turn checking After Affair.  

After Affair underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Spearhead Joe – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Loch was slow to begin and checked off Crystal Opal approaching the first turn.

Loch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf, quadricep and groin injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Queen Amarok was quick to begin.

Aston Sonic and Queen Amarok collided on the first turn.  Queen Amarok and McIvor Rusty collided on the second turn checking McIvor Rusty.

Mercury Icon, Papi Go Fast and Rapid Reiko collided approaching the first turn checking Mercury Icon.  Brady's Shout and Dewana Success collided on the home turn checking Brady's Shout.  

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Peter Frost, regarding the scratching of the greyhound Mallee Swan which afforded his other greyhound Ballara Bullet a start in this event. Stewards accepted Mr Frost's explanation and took no further action.

Jungle Panther, Kraken Skye and In A Blue collided soon after the start.  Where's Goose and Rio Baskin collided on the first turn checking Rio Baskin.  In A Blue checked off Where's Goose on the home turn, colliding with Rio Baskin and causing Kraken Skye to race wide.

Arran Victory and Four Pillars collided approaching the first turn.  Reinforcements, Nitro Antwon, Aston Grange and Arran Victory collided on the first turn checking Nitro Antwon and severely checking Four Pillars.

Basmati checked off Maggie Pie approaching the first turn.  Rush Out galloped on Impingement approaching the home turn.  Annabelle Rocks and Teddy Logan collided approaching the home turn checking Annabelle Rocks and Rev Up Freddy.  Rush Out and Impingement collided on the home turn severely checking Rush Out, Maggie Pie and Basmati.  

Rush Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to both back thighs and feet. No stand down period was imposed.

Max Anonymous underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have bruising/contusion to the left hind foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rev Up Freddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a laceration to the to the right leg.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Sassenach and Holly Fever collided approaching the first turn.  Zippy Wiesman, Aston Select and Ertugrul Bey collided approaching first turn checking Aston Select.  Rapid Royale and Holly Fever collided on the first turn.  Eagle Boy checked Rapid Royale approaching the home turn.  Hill Top Jonnie and Ertugrul Bey collided entering the home straight.  Eagle Boy raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.  

Stewards delayed the all-clear as the Judge inadvertently displayed the incorrect placings  4, 1, 8 and 6 on the semophore board following this event, the correct placings 4, 1, 8 and 5 were then displayed and the all-clear was given.
