Zambora Jay and One Happy Hippo were quick to begin and collided soon after the start.

Saint Ollie and One Happy Hippo collided approaching the first turn, checking Saint Ollie.  Bourne Blue checked off Fend Them Off on the first turn.  Winnie Blues crossed out approaching the home turn; checking Bourne Blue and One Happy Hippo.  Saint Ollie raced wide on the home turn and collided several times with One Happy Hippo. 

Katie Cortis was quick to begin.

Tokyo Ted underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Sugar Freak and Moonlight Jack were slow to begin.
