Steward's Report
Between Jobs, Tekki Nibbles and Mussa Jack were slow to begin.
Tekki Nibbles crossed in approaching the first turn checking Dewana Classic. Tekki Nibbles galloped on Red Light Rico on the first turn causing Between Jobs to collide with Tekki Nibbles checking Red Light Rico, severely checking Between Jobs, Dewana Classic and Tekki Nibbles, all four greyhounds raced wide as a result. Prabaker turned its head outwards and visibly eased entering the back straight. Prabaker visibly eased on the home turn and collided with Slick Intention. Red Light Rico checked off Mussa Jack on the home turn.
Prabaker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sesamoid injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Paul Anderton, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight and on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Prabaker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Anderton pleaded guilty to the charge and Prabaker must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
