A sample was taken from Yelich upon arrival at the course.

Yelich was quick to begin.  Queen Of Stripes, Chasing The High and Behind Greywalls were slow to begin.

Bella Penny, Had His Time, Mileena and Yelich collided soon after the start checking Had His Time and Mileena.  Bella Penny and Moon Dragon collided on the first turn.  Queen Of Stripes and Behind Greywalls collided approaching the home turn.  Bella Penny and Had His Time collided on the home turn. 

Little Beamer, Blazing Sal, Queen Sal, Blue Sky Limit, Aston Nicola, Bionic Queen and More Issues collided approaching the first turn.  Queen Sal contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground, causing Blue Sky Limit to race wide.  Blazing Sal brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Little Beamer checked off Bionic Queen on the home turn checking Queen Sal.

Get Sushi Carol and It's Coming Home were quick to begin.

Touch Of Mint and My Comet collided soon after the start checking Touch Of Mint.  Jebrynah Sol and Revved Up Sal collided soon after the start checking Jebrynah Sol.  My Shout contacted the running rail approaching the first turn checking Revved Up Sal, Mikado Set and It's Coming Home.  Mikado Set and Touch Of Mint collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  

My Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Elusive Kel was quick to begin.  Dundee Trigger and Victory Fire were slow to begin.

Lily Rose Harper brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Redgum Flyer and Kiss Me Deadly collided approaching the home turn checking Kiss Me Deadly.  

Why Not Kez was quick to begin.  Naomi Butterfly was slow to begin.

Prada Gem clipped the heels of Colonel Diesel on the first turn and fell checking Zipping Sixes and Naomi Butterfly.  Why Not Kez, Ready For Sea and Zipping Sixes collided entering the home straight.

Prada Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Colonel Diesel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ready For Sea – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Phil's My Bro, Sir Chappy and Senor Senor were slow to begin.

Phil's My Bro and Sir Chappy collided approaching the first turn.  Orcades, Locked And Ready, Zander, Senor Senor and Eynesbury Flyer collided approaching the first turn checking Zander.  Locked And Ready, Senor Senor and Eynesbury Flyer collided on the first turn checking Eynesbury Flyer.  Zander and Eynesbury Flyer collided approaching the home turn.  Sir Chappy and Senor Senor collided entering the home straight.

Willow Ash was slow to begin.

Aston Lights crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Star Ballerina, Punk Lass Rocks and Shivers.  Punk Lass Rocks crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Star Ballerina.  Star Ballerina brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Zipping Tiffany and Speedy Bella collided approaching the winning post. 

Between Jobs, Tekki Nibbles and Mussa Jack were slow to begin.

Tekki Nibbles crossed in approaching the first turn checking Dewana Classic.  Tekki Nibbles galloped on Red Light Rico on the first turn causing Between Jobs to collide with Tekki Nibbles checking Red Light Rico, severely checking Between Jobs, Dewana Classic and Tekki Nibbles, all four greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Prabaker turned its head outwards and visibly eased entering the back straight.  Prabaker visibly eased on the home turn and collided with Slick Intention.  Red Light Rico checked off Mussa Jack on the home turn.

Prabaker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sesamoid injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Paul Anderton, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight and on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Prabaker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Anderton pleaded guilty to the charge and Prabaker must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Amigo – Late scratching at 11:17 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. Glenn Rounds was fined $100.00.

Invictus Jaxson was slow to begin.

Queen Redeem and Rear View Mirror collided on the first turn.  Queen Redeem galloped on Invictus Jaxson on the first turn checking Queen Redeem, Invictus Jaxson and Zipping Loxley.  Invictus Jaxson and Zipping Loxley collided on the second turn checking Invictus Jaxson.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. Rowan Wagenaar, trainer of Rear View Mirror, following reports of comments received behind the boxes during the running of this event. After hearing evidence from Steward Ms. D. Barber and Mr. Wagenaar, Stewards reminded Mr. Wagenaar of his responsibilities pursuant to GAR 86(q) and the image of greyhound racing.

It's A Drama – Late scratching at 6.55am when Mrs Maureen Brown reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Roxy Diva and Typhoon Tessie collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  

Bus Driver was slow to begin.

Aston Solar, Bus Driver, Nine Wine Wine, Odessa Rock, Little Swagger and Lee Will collided soon after the start checking Nine Wine Wine and Odessa Rock.  Nine Wine Wine and Odessa Rock collided on the first turn.  Nine Wine Wine galloped on Lee Will approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Parabellum crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Aston Sundance and Elusive Bec, checking Aston Sundance.  Mighty Tracey crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Parabellum and causing Parabellum to race wide.  Meehan Marlow and Mighty Tracey collided on the home turn.
